Men & Women in the Church (1 Timothy 2:8-15)

All Christian leadership is humble and cross-shaped, but is there a difference between the roles of men and women in the Church? How do we distinguish between the cultural and the universal in Paul's instructions?

Prayer, Politics, and Peace (1 Timothy 2:1-7)

Paul instructs Timothy to prioritize prayer in his churches, and explains to him why prayer alone has true power to change the world for good, and why it's needed at the heart of national politics for the sake of social and spiritual peace. It's a timely word for American churches in this season of political contempt.

Vision for Children's Ministry (1 Thes. 2:8)

"We cared so deeply that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our own lives as well."(1 Thes. 2:8)

Our children's ministry director, Dr. Sarah Lebhar Hall shares Incarnation's vision for children's ministry. Like the early apostles did for the Thessalonians believers, she invites us as a church to participate in the discipleship of the children and teens in three ways: allowing them to experience loving Christian community, sharing with them the stories of God's faithful work in our lives, and inviting them to join with us in kingdom service.
